The MOPLAND research team is organizing the 2nd Participatory Workshop “Together for Sustainable Territories” on April 29, 2025, at 10:00 AM, Online.

It aims to co-construct future land-use and land-cover scenarios for coastal municipal territories in light of current societal, environmental, and technological challenges.

The workshop is intended for central and local government professionals, industry stakeholders, and other parties interested in the topic of land-use and land-cover transformation.

The 2nd Participatory Workshop will begin with a brief presentation of the preliminary results from the previous event, followed by a keynote talk by Professor Dr. Eduardo Jonas Gomes, who will explore how we can anticipate land-use and land-cover transformations through collaborative spatial modelling.

The workshop will conclude with a discussion session and hands-on exercises, focused on the co-construction of desirable and/or possible future scenarios for coastal territories, in light of current societal, environmental, and technological challenges (Programme and Flyer attached).
