The “Nós Fazemos o Futuro” (In English: “We Make the Future”) Labs is an educational and scientific initiative integrated into the national project MOPLAND: Co-creation of a Conceptual Model for Participatory Land-Use Modelling Applied to Spatial Planning, funded by FCT and developed by CICS.NOVA – NOVA University Lisbon. This activity is also a central component of a master’s dissertation in Sustainable Urbanism and Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Science and Technology of NOVA University Lisbon.

The activity took place at Colégio Académico, in Lisbon, and encourages the active participation of students from the 7th, 8th, and 9th grades of Lower Secondary Education at Colégio Académico in the spatial modelling of more sustainable territories. It aims to give voice to children and young people, raising their awareness from an early age about the importance of land-use planning decisions that shape the future of our territories.
